通常测设圆曲线的方式为极坐标法和中央纵距法,这两种方法都需要利用圆的弦切角和弦长来测设曲线辅助点,在施测时要求仪器精度高。因为,随时需要调整度、分、秒,定位点精度难以保证,且结构层上障碍物多,故放线时占用时间多,误差过大,有柱、墙钢筋的阻挡不易于测角和量距,也不易借线,所以在结构施工放线中均不适用。为了使圆弧线施测做到速度快、准确率高,经过反复研究,多方面对比,制定完善了一种新的测量放线方法——多折线施测方法,其目的就是尽量减少使用经纬仪,消灭观测误差,改用钢尺量测,减少人为计算误差,使放线简单易行。
