在广大地质工作者的共同努力下,一九八六年地质工作取得了显著的进展,我们满怀信心地跨入光辉的一九八七年.过去的一年,地质工作形势发展喜人.国务院领导同志多次对地质工作作出重要指示,为地质工作发展指明了方向.三月,六届全国人大第十五次常委会审议通过了《中华人民共和国矿产资源法》,并已在全国施行.综合经济部门积极为地质工作创造比较宽松的环境,地矿部门与兄弟部门的横向联系日益广泛，地质工作的社会影响不断扩大，这些都有力地促进了地矿工作的发展。
With the joint efforts of a large number of geologists, remarkable progress has been made in geological work in 1986. We have entered the glorious year of 1987 with confidence.
