氟橡胶是目前所有弹性体中耐介质性能最好的一种,它具有耐高温、耐油及耐多种化学药品侵蚀的特性,且具有极好的耐天候老化性能及耐臭氧性能,被广泛应用于航空、导弹、火箭、宇宙航行等尖端科学技术领域。随着汽车工业对可靠性、安全性等要求的不断提升,近几年来,氟橡胶在汽车中的用量也迅速增长,现在每年的增长速度保持在20%~30%。主要的使用类型为:密封件、密封垫、胶板、O形圈、胶管、电线电缆、涂料、胶辊、胶带、衬里等。但是在有些工况条件下,氟橡胶的刚性强度不足以满足要求,必须与较高强度的钢质骨架结合,来共同完成密封任务。
