利用电子计算机进行情报检索,始于50年代末在美国开展起来,从脱机批处理发展到联机检索,由于联机不受地域限制,可人机对话,检索灵活,从而实现了国际资源共享,也因它能实时响应,从而能系统、全面检索情报资料,且价格低廉,目前已成为国外情报工作服务的主要手段。技术预测表明,情报领域的“计算机革命”正在兴起,本文拟对其发展趋势作一概要性描述。
Information retrieval using electronic computers began in the United States in the late 1950s and progressed from offline batch processing to on-line retrieval. International online sharing of resources was also achieved because of on-line geographical restrictions, human-machine dialogue and retrieval flexibility Because it can respond in real time, so that it can systematically and comprehensively search intelligence information with low price, it has become the main means of intelligence service abroad. The technical forecast shows that the “computer revolution” in the field of intelligence is on the rise. This paper intends to give an overview of its development trend.
