In Europe, the story of the Bible is passed down from generation to generation. The Bible is full of colorful and well-known figures, such as historians of the Jewish nation, disciples of Jesus, prophets, priests and heroes. The characters, deeds and allusions of some characters are very dramatic or representative and enter the languages ​​and cultures of European countries. While France has a strong Catholic tradition, French is also greatly influenced by the Bible language. This article examines the impact of the Bible on French by analyzing several French words and phrases from the Bible.
