遥感图象,具有宏观性、直观性和信息量丰富多样性的特点,它不仅可以提供不同时相的图象对比(这在地质灾害调查中是很重要的),而且还可以通过图象处理提取和突出我们所需要的信息,使我们比较容易地发现在常规地质调查中难于发现、有的甚至是不可能发现的重要地质现象。在成昆铁路南段(金江—昆明)地质灾害概查阶段,我们采用遥感图象,快速而比较准确地完成了调查任务,起到了导向的先行作用,为进一步的工程地质勘察提供了比较可靠的依据。实践证明,遥感运用于铁路沿线的地质灾害调查是行之有效的。
