在中共中央关于召开科学大会通知精神鼓舞下,桂林冶金地质研究所研制的脉冲式航空电磁系统生产试飞成功,主要技术指标达到国际先进水平,填补了我国脉冲式航空电磁技术的空白.脉冲式航空电磁法是六十年代西方发展起来的新型航空电磁系统,对探测良导性金属矿床,特别是块状硫化矿效果良好.多年来,这项技术一直被少数资本主义国家所垄断.桂林冶金地质研究所物探室的科枝人员,坚持独立自主、自力更生的方针,根据冶金工业部的指示,从一九七一年开始研制适合我国特点的脉冲式航空电磁系统.探测系统采用30米短吊舱方案(国外采用15O米),有些技术难度较大.该所研制成功的脉冲式航空电磁系统二型样机,在民航二十大队支持下,于一九七六年在某矿区试飞,在矿体上就已获得了较好的反应.
