高中语文第二册《鸿门宴》一文中“距关,毋内诸侯”的“内”,课本注为:“内,同‘纳’,接纳。”我以为极不妥当,应予订正。理由是: 一、秦朝末年,各种反秦势力蜂起,且皆以“先破秦入咸阳”称王关中为目标,你争我斗,势不两立。因此,这里的“内”就是“内”,指函谷关内(西)。“毋内”就是“毋使内”,就是“毋使之内”,就是“先破秦入咸阳”的沛公“毋使诸侯进入函谷关内”。为什么这样讲呢?你攻我守,你来我打,如此而已。守之唯恐不固,打之唯恐不力,怎么能谈得上“接纳”呢?如果硬解成“接纳”,就把诸侯之间刀兵相见、你死我活的情势变为比较友好或至少是一般关系了。这既有悖历史事实,也破坏了本文所描写的刘项争斗的紧张气氛。
