90年代以来,一系列由内含子编码的核仁小分子RNA(snoRNA)的发现,是分子生物学的一个重大进展。它不仅为阐明真核生物核糖体RNA复杂的加工体系和机制开辟了道路,而且对于全面地认识真核生物基因的结构和组织以及基因表达调控的新机制都具有重要的意义。
Since the 1990s, the discovery of a series of intron-encoded snoRNAs has been a major advance in molecular biology. It opens the way not only to elucidate the complex processing systems and mechanisms of eukaryotic ribosomal RNA but also to fully understand the structure and organization of eukaryotic genes and the new mechanisms of gene expression regulation.
