在学校教育中,地理不但是一门多学科、跨领域、门类复杂的综合性学科,而且与社会生活有着十分密切的联系。鉴于这样的课程内容,从逻辑上来说,理应受到学生的青睐和欢迎,且非常适合于开展研究性学习活动。然而,由于传统教学模式和应试教学的习惯性影响,初中地理教学长期处于一种不令人看好的低迷状态,即使在新课程改革大潮的有力推动下,其教学状况依然不能像其他学科那样取得令人振奋的实质性进展。笔者从实践中总结认为,初中地理教学要想彻底改变现状,必须坚持以教材内容为蓝底,根据学生的认知能力、知识基础和知识结构,本着培养学生实践能力和创新精神的原则,努力开展开放性强和实践性强的创新教学活动。
