自从建立遗传毒性的Ames试验后,一般认为细菌是这种毒性试验的适宜生物体,作者研究了细菌迁徙(swarming)抑制试验用以检测霉菌毒素、内酯和二羧酸酐的抑制作用,并和细菌平板生长抑制试验进行了比较。迁徒是由于鞭毛活动引起的表面移位,在营养琼脂表面有动力的细菌从接种线蔓延生长形成扩散区,无动力细菌则不形成扩散区,毒物能抑制迁徒。而平板试验中有动力和无动力细菌接种到整个琼脂表面,除了毒物渗透区域细菌生长受抑外,其余部分细菌都能生长。菌株和受试化合物:选用有动力的奇异变
Since the establishment of the genotoxic Ames test, bacteria are generally considered suitable organisms for this toxicity test.
