在从事钍的毒理学研究过程中,常发现钍中毒动物组织切片有坏死性和变性病灶。要搞清这些病灶与钍的关系,就要解决这种组织切片病灶中是否存有钍颗粒的问题,我们可以采用放射自显影的方法证实,但需要一定的材料(核子乳胶),条件和经验,所以不易普及。因此,我们设想化学显色方法比较简单,能否用铀试剂Ⅲ作为显色剂来解决这一问题?通过一段时间的摸索,并经过生物学和物理学的验证,基本上解决了这一问题。
