图案艺术是一门很大的学问,它不但展示了人类的思想感情,而且也是人类社会、经济、政治和文化的载体。蒙古族马鞍具的图案也是如此,刻下了深深的历史烙印。每一个民族在它形成以后,必定有它自己的文化含蕴,有属于他们自己适应的符号,去表达自己的情感和爱好,新疆卫拉特蒙古族马鞍具在长期吸收哈萨克民族及其它民族外来文化的影响下,形成自身马鞍具的图案特征。新疆卫拉特蒙古族是马背上的民族,马鞍具在他们的生活中是离不开的,他们通过马鞍具的图案来表达自己的审美观念,从而对人类的文明起到了深远影响的作用。
