宁蒗地区树扎铜矿系喜山期隐伏斑岩体与二叠系灰岩发生交代作用所形成的矽卡岩型铜矿;喜山期的气水热液沿同期再次活动的北北西-南北向断裂上升,沿途萃取二叠系玄武岩中的铜元素,富铜热液沿裂隙上升过程中由于物化条件的改变,上侵的富铜热液在一定构造空隙中充填,为该区原生铜矿另一主要来源。以上原生铜矿出露地表后,再次发生次生富集作用,为该区铜矿的另一主要成因。
