1992年1月13日,安陆市水产技术推广中心4处8亩越冬鱼种池,突然发现了一种全国罕见的怪病。病鱼在鱼池四角的水面群集,鱼头朝池角方向,人为驱赶也不离散,直至死亡。当时分别采用敌百虫0.4PPm、硫酸铜、硫酸亚铁合剂0.7PPm、生石灰20公斤/亩治疗,效果不够理想。后来请来了地、市水产专家集体会诊,才弄清了属小三毛金藻的危害。
