1.面积:江西省面积164,800平方公里,约占全国总面积的1.7％。全省土地面积中,山地和丘陵面积约占60％,耕地近20％,河湖、渠塘等水面约占10％,城镇、道路约占10％,故人们都说我省地形和土地利用情况是‘六山一水二分田,一分道路和庄园’。(江西人民出版社:《江西地理》1975.5) 2.地形:“本省三面环山,地势渐次向波阳湖倾斜”。地形大致分五区: ①波阳湖平原:面积约二万平方公里,大部分地区海拔50米以下,河渠交织,湖泊众多,向称鱼米之乡。
