合作学习(Cooperative learning)是20世纪70年代初兴起于美国,并在70年代中期至80年代中期取得实质性发展的一种富有创意的有效的教学理论与策略。很快引起了世界各国的关注,并成为当代主流教学理念与策略之一。在全日制义务教育《英语课程标准》中也指出:“创设各种合作学习的活动,促进学生相互学习,相互帮助,体验集体荣誉感和成就感,发展合作精神。”英语新课程要求教师为学生创设良好的语言环境和提供大量的语言实践机会,使学生通过体验、感知、实践、参与和交流学习语言,能用所学得英语做事情,并在做事情的过程中发展语言能力。于是,合作学习的教学模式被广泛用于日常教学中。然而,并非所有在课堂内开展的小组合作学习都能取得预期效果。笔者从
