This year marks the 50th anniversary of the atomic bombing and is about to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of China’s nuclear industry. On September 18, 1999, the CPC Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission commended 23 scientists who made special contributions to the development of “two bombs and one satellite” and awarded them “Two Bombs and One Star Medal of Merit.” Yu Min (1926 ~), nuclear physicist, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is the chief person in charge of hydrogen bomb theory in our country. It solves a series of basic problems in thermonuclear physics in the hydrogen bomb theory breakthrough.
