传统的日本文学感情色彩丰富,很少政治的印痕,但又不失纤细、含蓄的性格。“幽玄”、“物之哀”等词一直是日本文学的代名词。进入江户时代,朱子学上升为统治阶级的官学,日本正统的文学形式被汉诗文所取代。江户文学作为“载道”之器,被赋予了极大的政治色彩,日本文学所固有的幽玄、静寂之美被削弱。发展到江户后期,朱子学逐渐衰弱,文学所倡导的内容开始变化。虽然众多学者的作品依然以汉诗文为主,但在其精神内涵上古典日本文学所倡导的美意识已经开始复苏并且越来越被社会所接受。
Traditional Japanese literature is full of emotions and feelings, with few political impressions, but without losing slender and subtle characters. The word “secluded mysterious”, “sorrow of things” has always been synonymous with Japanese literature. Into the Edo era, Zhu Xi rose to the ruling class official, Japanese orthodox literary form was replaced by Chinese poetry. Edo literature has been given great political influence as a device for “carrying”, and the beauty of quietness and silence inherent in Japanese literature has been weakened. After the development of Edo, Zhu Xi gradually weakened, the content advocated by literature began to change. Although the works of many scholars are still dominated by Chinese poems, the aesthetic awareness advocated by classical Japanese literature in their spiritual connotations has begun to recover and is increasingly accepted by society.
