吕品田,1959年生于江西,1978年入景德镇陶瓷学院美术系学习;1982年至1985年供职轻工业部工艺美术总公司;1985年考入中国艺术研究院,师从王朝闻、陈醉研习美术理论,先后获硕士、博士学位。曾任《美术观察》主编、中国工艺美术馆馆长、中国非物质文化遗产保护中心副主任;现为中国艺术研究院常务副院长兼研究生院院长,研究员、博士生导师,全国文化宣传系统“文化名家暨四个一批”人才。代表著作有《中国民间美术观念》、《中国民间美术全集·玩具卷》、《中国民间美术全
