《西园瓣香集》卷中共收录王筠诗歌233首,其中即事感怀诗所占的比重最大,多达96首。她的诗大部分作于婚后,与传奇的内蕴表现出一致性:“人生如梦”的感伤,壮志难酬的愤懑与哀怨,感时伤怀,惜春叹春,以及对往昔少女生活的无限追忆。当然,偶尔也有因儿子及第的欢喜、花开的舒心,但总体上王筠的诗歌表达出来的是哀怨、凄苦,始终有散不开的感伤情绪。而本文将着眼王筠诗集中的即事感怀事,尝试解读女才子的深深怨恨与哀愁。
