Established in 1958,Chengdu Seamless Steel Pipe Plant is a national first-grade enterprise in China and a key specialized one which manufactures most seamless steel pipes with complete variety in China at present. It possesses many works such as open-hearth furnace,electric furnace, hot-rolling steel,coldrolling (cold-drawing) steel,pipe expander and pipe processing etc. , as well as power and public system for the works. The plant also has four research institutes engaged in steel pipe technology ,steel pip equipment design,computer control and measure and electronic technique respectively. In 1994,authorized by State Economic Relations and Trade Commission,the plant became the first steel pip technology development center in China.
