The process of transforming scientific and technological achievements into productive forces is currently inconsistent in domestic understanding. Now we call the more typical two kinds of views the “long process theory” and the “short process theory.” The so-called long process theory means that the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into productive forces begins with basic research, passes through several links in the middle, and ends with the industrialization and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. The so-called short-course theory refers to the conversion of scientific and technological achievements into productive forces.
