The use of modern technology diagnostic methods can reduce the cost of rolling stock scheduled repairs. Many countries are studying comprehensive diagnostic programs for locomotives. For example, in Poland from 1976 to 1980 the issue of “a system of maintenance cycles for railway rolling stock based on technical diagnostic devices” was solved, and between 1981 and 1985 the problem of “diagnostic equipment for railway transport” was solved. To date, the maintenance department are regularly under maintenance maintenance system to ensure the reliability of railway traction equipment.
