雷达数字引导系统是为了进一步完善红外激光雷达捕获、跟踪性能而设置的一个部件。一般对近目标光雷达可用单杆捕获、跟踪,而后转入自动跟踪。但是目标距光雷达站远或看不见,这时靠单杆就无法捕获并跟踪飞行目标。因此借助无线电雷达捕获空中飞行目标,通过计算机将空中飞行目标的方位(A)和俯仰(E)坐标,转换到光雷达坐标系,然后将目标的A、E和光雷达的A、E进行比较运算,并将其差值转换成电压模量,通过随动推动跟踪架以致光雷达视轴指向目标。若目标已被引导到红外视场内,则可转入红外自动跟踪状态。其原理方框图如图1所示。
