Introduction With the development of agile frequency technology, the agile frequency requirements of agile frequency tube are getting higher and higher. This article describes the technique of adding a PIN tube tuner to a common magnetron to achieve frequency agility. In collaboration with Shanghang and Changfeng Machinery Works, an external PIN tube ESC frequency agile magnetron (401 tubes) was manufactured. The agile bandwidth was 40-50 MHz,> 10 kW and the frequency hopping time was <30 Seconds, and conducted a test machine.
