Objective To investigate the effect of behavioral intervention on compliance behavior and blood glucose level in patients with breast cancer with diabetes mellitus. Methods 48 cases of breast cancer with diabetes mellitus were randomly divided into control group and experimental group. The control group (n = 24) was treated with conventional drugs and nursing. The experimental group (n = 24) was given behavioral intervention on the basis of routine treatment and care. The two groups of patients were observed at the end of 3 months and the fasting blood glucose (FBS) and 2h postprandial blood glucose (2hBS) levels at the end of 3 months after admission were measured. Results After 3 months, the compliance rate of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group (P <0.05). The blood glucose control in the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusions Effective behavioral interventions play an important role in helping patients to improve compliance and blood sugar control.
