Toni Morrison’s “Ashes Baby” Sen and Adan, a beloved young man, got into trouble because of the conflict between the black traditional culture and the mainstream white culture. The work reflects that the author is concerned not only with the growth of black people, but with more concerns and expectations about the future of blacks. From the point of view of ecofeminism, the natural ecology of Knight Island and the spiritual ecology and social ecology of black people all show Morrison’s concern for the overall social and ecological harmony.
