The French research team analyzed data from a survey of nearly 60,000 women who experienced menopause. The results showed that women who exercised more than 4 hours a week over the past 4 years had a 10% lower risk of developing breast cancer than women who exercised less frequently. If women maintain such exercise 5-9 years ago, there is no reduction in the risk of breast cancer over the last 4 years. The findings are published in the monthly issue of Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention in the United States. The first author, Gustave Roussillon, a researcher at France’s Gustave Roussillon Institute, said even modest amusements could quickly reduce the risk of breast cancer. Such as walking, walking for 30 minutes a day can achieve good results. However, once exercise is stopped, the effect of exercise on reducing the risk of breast cancer is diminished
