The United States is a melting pot of culture. Chinese American literature reflects the history of the collision and assimilation of cultures between China and the United States. It reflects that Chinese immigrants and their descendants wandering in exotic countries have very different attitudes toward Sino-American cultures Attitude and two generations around the cultural identity, the identity of the gains and losses shown by the contradictions and conflicts. One of the points that Chinese-American literature has triggered the thinking of eastern and western cultural scholars is the identity-building of men in Chinese-American literature in the Chinese-American context. Chinese men are taciturn, unscrupulous, non-trivial, dominated, always being discriminated against and stigmatized by American culture. Chinese American literature shows the life status and mental state of Chinese men. This article explores the construction of masculinity in American Chinese literature from the book “The Cubs”.
