作为海外极具影响的文学潮流,新生代华裔文学以其蕴涵中国文化元素的英文创作引起中西方文坛的广泛关注。这些作品中既承载着作者们游弋于两种文化之间的双重身份,在表达作者对中国传统文化采取怀疑、疏离态度的同时,又从多元文化的角度上致力于“中国形象”的重建。这种特定语境下的中国书写,其实是海外华人文学以全新的眼光对故土、新大陆文化的审视与继承。
As a highly influential literary trend overseas, the Cenozoic Chinese literature attracts a great deal of attention from the Chinese and Western literatures with its English writing which contains Chinese cultural elements. These works not only bear the dual identities that the authors cruise between the two cultures, but also express their skepticism and alienation of Chinese traditional culture while at the same time devote themselves to “the image of China” from a multicultural perspective reconstruction. Chinese writing in this particular context is actually a review and inheritance of overseas Chinese literature with a new vision of homeland and New Mainland culture.
