叙事学自20世纪60年代兴起于法国,经过约半个世纪的发展,已逐渐形成一套较为成熟的理论与方法,并由此成为一门充满活力且风行全球的学科。受此影响,中国学界对叙事学表现出极大的热情,一方面积极翻译和介绍西方叙事理论,另一方面尝试用西方叙事理论来研究中国叙事作品。当然,学者们并未满足于此,而是将研究重点转移到发掘中国自身的叙事资源上来。在诸多关于中国叙事传统的研究论著中,傅修延的《中国叙事学》(北京大学出版社,
Since its rise in France in the 1960s, narratology has gradually developed into a mature set of theories and methods after about half a century of development and has thus become a dynamic and popular discipline worldwide. Affected by this, Chinese academics have shown great enthusiasm for narratology. On the one hand, they actively translate and introduce Western narrative theories. On the other hand, they try to use Chinese narrative theories to study Chinese narrative productions. Of course, scholars are not satisfied with this. Instead, they shift their research focus to exploring China’s own narrative resources. In many research treatises on the Chinese narrative tradition, Fu Xiuyan’s “Chinese Narratology” (Peking University Press,
