Co~(60)r 射线照射夏谷不同品种的干种子,不同品种的植株的存活率随照射量的增加而降低,不同品种对 r 射线的敏感性分为三个类型,照射量每增加1万仑,存活率减少10%以上属敏感型;存活率减少5~10%属中间型;存活率减少5%以下属迟钝型,环境条件对 M_1敏感性的影响是存在的,栽培条件不同,同一品种存活率也不同,故试验应在水肥充足的土地上进行。Co~(60)r 射线对夏谷 M_2能产生矮秆、早熟和穗形等有益突变类型。夏谷突变频率与辐照品种本身基因型差异有关。r 射线能改变多种性状,从中选出综合性状好的植株来。不同照射量对各种品种产生有益突变频率是有差别的,夏谷1~4万仑照射有益突变发生的多。
