Recently, Qian Rui of the Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, collaborated with Yang Ruiyu and Peng Helu, comrades of Yunnan Agricultural University, to conduct experiments on the hypolipidemic effect of bee peptides and achieved remarkable results. Bee Peptide is a lipid lipopeptide preparation isolated from Apis welligera. After 15 days of continuous intramuscular injection of a rabbit model of hypercholesterolemia (cholesterol, triglyceride), cholesterol decreased by 22.5% and triglyceride decreased by 50%.
