数学语言是数学文化的载体;数学语言是数学思维的原料;数学语言是数学交流的工具;数学创造了数学语言,数学语言也推进了数学创造。数学研究的对象是数与形及其相互关系。因此,反映数的符号,反映形的符号以及关系符号是数学的几类基本符号。数学符号是数学语言的基础。数学符号便于数学思维才显示其生命力,所以,进行数学思维必须使用数学符号,必须学习和掌握数学语言。数学语言和自然语言一样是人类思维长期发展的成果。数学语言是按不同的方向改进自然语言的结果。
Mathematical language is the carrier of mathematics culture; mathematics language is the raw material of mathematics thinking; mathematics language is the tool of mathematics communication; mathematics creates mathematics language, and mathematics language also advances mathematics creation. The object of mathematical research is number and shape and their mutual relations. Therefore, the symbols reflecting the numbers, the symbols reflecting the shapes, and the relational symbols are several types of basic symbols of mathematics. Mathematical notation is the basis of mathematical language. Mathematical symbols make it easy for mathematics to show their vitality. Therefore, mathematical thinking must use mathematical symbols and must learn and master mathematical language. Mathematical language, like natural language, is the result of long-term development of human thinking. Mathematical language is the result of improving natural language in different directions.
