[World Nuclear News website reported on June 2, 2014] The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant has started building frozen earth walls to prevent groundwater from entering the reactor building. The construction cost of frozen earth walls is estimated at 32 billion yen (313 million U.S. dollars) and will take nine months to complete.
