用灯泡与灯头脱离的废灯泡一个。将毛巾裹起灯泡,用锥子弄碎泡内玻璃管,将灯丝和玻璃碎片倒出来。然后,在空灯泡侧表面用砂纸磨一直径为30毫米的圆斑,如图a所示。再用厚纸制做能支持双凸透镜的圆柱形边框,其长约15毫米,直径比镜片稍大一些。边框与灯泡相接触的一端,要用细锉锉出一定的坡度,使柱框与灯泡接触良好,圆柱形边框贴在磨砂面的对面,使管的中心线通过磨砂斑的中心(如图b所示)
