作为国家软件产业基地和国家软件出口基地——上海浦东软件园产业及服务功能的延伸,依托国家级品牌、资源、管理和产业发展理念,依托昆山市政府的产业培育政策、特殊扶持政策和良好的投资环境,园区正全力打造国内一流的区域性软件及信息服务产业新高地。昆山浦东软件园总建设用地面积44万平方米、总规划建筑面积约70万平方米,将包括约50万平米的产业及配套用房,以及约20万平米的居住及配套用房。自2009年8月开园以来,产业区5.16万平方米的总部大楼和水上餐厅已投入使用,目前入驻企业50多家,基础配套逐步完善,园区班车、员工餐厅、银行ATM机、超市、篮球场、健身活动室等设施一应俱全。
