在自然界,生物与环境所组成的统一的整体——生态系统,是通过彼此间稳定的物质循环与能量流动来体现的。任何一个外来或内在因素,如果干扰了这一过程,就有可能因系统物质循环稳定性的削弱而造成生态平衡失调。由于生态系统中循环的物质,既是贮存能量(化学能)的运输工具,又是维持生物生命进行生物化学活动的结构物质基础,因此,掌握系统物质的循环规律,维持系统物质循环的稳定性,对维护生态平衡就具有重要的意义。
In nature, the unity of the organism and the environment, the ecosystem, is manifested through the stable material circulation and energy flow among each other. Any external or internal factors that interfere with the process may result in imbalance of ecological balance due to weakened system stability. Because the substances circulated in the ecosystem are not only the transportation means for storing energy (chemical energy) but also the structural material basis for maintaining the biochemical activities of biological life.
