Previous studies have shown that in addition to the production of Calitonin in the thyroid gland and the parotid gland, there is also a calcitonin-like immune response in the brain and lungs of lizards and pigeons. Immunofluorescence and electron microscopy demonstrated that the calcitonin-like material in the lizard’s lung secretes small particles and resides in Kulchitsky cells. Another researcher found that there are Kurtosis cells in human bronchi and bronchioles and calcitonin is isolated from human lungs. Mucous glands in patients with chronic bronchitis contain increased mucus secretion of acinar cells. The authors suggest that if Kurt’s cells also increase, the concentration of calcitonin in the blood of patients with chronic bronchitis will increase. Thus, the authors made plasma in patients with mucinous purulent disease
