At the beginning of 2003, when SARS outbreak was reported in Guangdong, there were a few cases of bird flu in Hong Kong. There were two cases in which the father and daughter returned to their hometown in Fujian Province and died of illness one moment in time. As a result, things quickly subsided and Hong Kong seemed calm for some time. Now, recalling the backdrop of the burning pot of vinegar in Guangdong at that time, the calm of Hong Kong became more and more apparent.
