瞿秋白以实事求是的精神对侨务问题进行了探索,初步形成了自己的侨务思想。他认为,必须事实求实深入侨民之中进行调查研究;必须坚决维护中国的主权和利益;必须平等保护各国侨民的合法利益。他的侨务思想是中国共产党统一战线理论的重要组成部分,在新的历史条件下对中国共产党的侨务工作仍有重要的指导作用。
In his spirit of seeking truth from facts, Qu Qiubai explored the issue of overseas Chinese affairs and initially formed his own thinking on overseas Chinese affairs. In his opinion, we must conduct factual and fact-finding investigations and study among the diaspora; we must firmly safeguard China’s sovereignty and interests; and the legitimate interests of the diasporas of all countries must be equally protected. His idea of overseas Chinese affairs is an important part of the theory of the united front of the Chinese Communist Party and it still plays an important guiding role in the overseas Chinese affairs of the Communist Party of China under the new historical conditions.
