Remains of Ancient Eastern Religious Beliefs in the Ceremonies of the Sabbat The myths of Jesus Christ and the deep connection between the entire Christian faith and the ancient religions of the peoples of the East have been manifested in many ceremonies of the Christian Church. This connection is even clearer when it comes to studying some of the major festivals and sacraments of Christianity associated with the cult of Christ. First, Easter is like that. Easter (пacxa), is a very ancient festival that originated in the Jewish. As early as in ancient times, the shepherd in the south of Palestine had a “prayer festival” (“пacex”, the ancient Syrian word “пacxa”) every spring, a festival of merciful prayers for deforestation. Later in the Bible, this festival received another explanation. Connect it with the mythological event in the history of the Jewish people, the captive plight of “going out of Egypt.”
