公共事务事关国家运转与人民的生产生活,天生就是媒体的主要报道客体,对长于深度挖掘的报业而言更是重头戏。然由于自身局限,报业不可能对所有公共事务都进行事无巨细的报道,只能挑选几个影响力较大的议题,并按照重要性进行排序,以影响受众、引导舆论。这种议程设置作用机制在大数据时代更有必要性,更能在浩如烟海的信息浪潮中引领正确的主流价值观方向。
Public affairs, which are related to the functioning of the country and the production and life of the people, are inherently the media’s main reporting objects. They are even more important to the newspaper industry, which is more deeply tapped. However, due to its own limitations, the newspaper industry can not make any sizeable reports on all public affairs. Only a few influential topics can be selected and ranked according to the importance so as to influence audiences and guide public opinion. This agenda-setting mechanism is even more necessary in the era of big data, and it can lead the correct direction of mainstream values in a vast wave of information.
