Determination of gastric juice SIgA (secretory immunoglobulin A) to be affected by the acidity of gastric juice. Both pepsin and high acidity can digest or destroy the complete presence of immunoglobulins (Ig). Previous work has shown that it is almost impossible to detect it by the ordinary method at a pH of 3.0 or less, and that the content is gradually reduced during the change from pH 5.0 to 3.0.
