澄合矿务局位于关中盆地和渭南地区东北部,西南距西安180km。地跨澄城、合阳两县而得名。是近年来发展起来的渭北煤田黑腰带东部的一座中型矿区,矿区井田东至黄河与韩城矿区毗邻,西至洛河与蒲城矿区接壤,南部为露头,北部以-800m 为界,形成向北缓倾斜的构造。矿区东西长60km,南北宽30km,面积约1688km~2。矿区交通方便,西候线自南向北穿越整个东部煤田,西延线经矿区西部边界沿洛河北上。矿区专用线在坡底车站与西延线接轨,横贯西区3个生产矿井,有数条公路纵横矿区,直通附近各县、市。矿区成煤于石炭二迭纪,地质总储量86.2亿 t,在目前的开采条件下,深部以五号煤层底板等高线+120m 为界,面积322km~2,地质储量20亿 t,可采煤层有3~#,4~#,5~#,10~#等4层,主采5~#
