本文基于合作原则理论,对莎士比亚的喜剧《维洛那二绅士》进行实例分析,通过分析剧中主要人物的对话,试图从语用学的角度探究违反合作原则而产生的语用意图和语用效果。研究发现,《维洛那二绅士》中有大量违反合作原则的对话,作者通过隐含的会话含义来刻画出人物鲜明的性格,继而传达戏剧中的喜剧效果。
Based on the theory of cooperation, this article analyzes Shakespeare ’s comedy “Verona’ s two gentlemen” by analyzing the dialogue between the main characters in the drama and trying to explore the pragmatic intentions and pragmatics resulting from the violation of the principle of cooperation from the perspective of pragmatics effect. The study found that there are a large number of dialogues in the “Verona gentry” that violate the principle of cooperation. The author depicts the distinctive character through the implicit conversational meanings, and then communicates the comedy effect in the drama.
