废日光灯管中存在的金属蒸气粒子可以传导电波。用废日光灯管做电视天线,既节约,又简便。它既可组成室外多单元天线,也可做成室内振子天线。但鉴于日光灯管易碎,故一般多用作室内天线。它的联接方法有多种,这里仅举两种:一种是将一根长一米左右的塑料导线(两端各剥出3～5公分的铜线),一端和日光灯管脚相联接,一端缠绕在电视机自带的拉杆天线顶端(见图1);另一种则是用1根1～2米长的馈线,将其一端分成适当长度的两股,其端头各剥出3～5公分的铜线,再分别与日光灯管两端的脚联接。
