与傅干注东坡词年代相去不远,金初魏道明曾笺注蔡松年(一一○七—一一五九)词集《萧闲老人明秀集》。本文对魏道明注本《萧闲老人明秀集》的刊刻、著録、流传和覆刻情况首次予以梳理,并论析了《萧闲老人明秀集注》的体例、内容特点及其多方面的价值,认为金人魏道明在‘苏学北行’后,对金代词坛首位系统学苏的蔡松年的词集予以注释,这一现象本身,不惟是透视宋金南北词坛词学观念的一个‘窗口’,也是关联着金代士人精神与金代儒学特徵,有着丰富思想文化涵蕴的个案。
