新世纪的中国画创作有着宽广的道路,地不分南北,人不分长幼,几代画家都为中国画的发展不懈地努力着。诸如本期名家香港青年画家林天行大胆地进行着中国画创新的实验,身处现代化都市,见多了各种各样的艺术,使他对自己所从事的中国画创新更加充满信心。而贵州的老画家方小石先生,依然追求着笔精墨妙,在晚年“老树春深更著花”。成都的老画家王敬恒,以往并不被人知晓,当然也不为名所累,安心地在书房里画自己的画。国统区的版画已是往事,但却是20世纪中国美术的重要一页,记录了那个时代版画家们的奋斗历程。回顾是为了前瞻,新世纪的版画家应该学习老一辈版画家的奋斗精神。
